INTESA SAN PAOLO BANK OFFICE TOWER IN TURIN (ITALY)

Rizzani de Eccher, in association with Swiss contractor Implenia and project management consultant Bovis Lend Lease, has been awarded the contract for the construction and facility management of the new Intesa San Paolo Bank Office Tower in Turin, a landmark building designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano.
The building will feature 6 underground levels on a 43m x 159m layout allocated to car parks, storage and service areas, and an above ground structure (Tower) of an height of over 160m developed on a 36m x 60m footprint.
The project also features, as regards the underground structure, raised floors and supporting slabs of reinforced concrete, while the tower above ground is composed of a reinforced concrete core and an imposing steel structure.
The Tower’s cladding consists of transparent “double layer” façades, which vary in type and style according to the exposure of the façade. The building’s summit will feature 1,200m2 glass-houses with a “shed” structure comprising of matt aluminium frames and automated yawing glass panels.
The contract amount is € 240 million with a 36 month construction period.
