ENI Group’s Saipem has entrusted DEAL with the supply of special equipment for underwater trench excavation, also known as a trenching sled (TRS).
This special equipment is to be utilized for laying an underwater oil pipeline in the Caspian Sea, in connection with the massive Kashagan (Kazakhstan) basin development.
The equipment, designed by Saipem, is the first of this kind ever manufactured and assembled by DEAL and was successfully delivered.
The manufacturing techniques and production process put in place for the supply of this type of equipment will allow DEAL to tackle effectively new market opportunities in the offshore oil & gas sector.
