SECOND PENANG BRIDGE (MALAYSIA)

Malaysian UEMC has awarded DEAL the MYR 37.5 million (Euro 7.5 million) contract for the supply of four launching trusses for span-by-span bridge segments to be delivered by spring 2010.
The launching trusses are to be deployed for the erection of the Second Penang Bridge, for a length of 22.5 km, which will become the second bridge linking Penang to Peninsular Malaysia and is one of the major infrastructure projects currently being built in the area.
The superior performance of DEAL equipment, allows for the erection of 55m spans within a cycle of three 10-hour shifts.
