SUMMERLAND HOTEL AND RESORT, BEIRUT (LEBANON)

Rizzani de Eccher, associated for this purpose with local firm Matta et Associes Sal, has awarded the USD 95 million contract for the construction of the Summerland Hotel & Resort, to be completed within 3 years.
The project consists of a 150-room luxury hotel, which will be managed by Kempinsky, situated by the seafront in South Beirut.
Common areas include meeting rooms, a 1,000 sqm ballroom, restaurants, bars, a wellness centre and a 2,000 sqm outdoor swimming pool built on two levels and linked by a waterfall. The hotel will be complemented by 52 luxury residences in adjacent buildings. The various buildings will feature six floors above ground and two below ground, for a total built up area of 75,000 sqm.
