The American multinational company Supernap, one of the world leaders in the field of Information Technology and Data Centres has chosen Italy, in a joint venture with Accelero Capital and Sawiris’s Orascom TMT Investments (“OTMTI”), as the place to found their first Data Centre outside the United States, and has joined forces with Rizzani de Eccher for the construction.
The project plans to repeat in Italy the latest Supernap Data Centre created in the United States, in Las Vegas: a super-technological server farm certified as Tier IV, where technological firms and banks safeguard part of their digital contents and secrets.
This first phase of the project involves the construction of a building of about 13 thousand square metres. The preliminary work has already started and opening of the facility is planned for the second half of 2016.
